The Adventurer’s Bargain is a contract among the members of the company. It includes matters of compensation (though the amount of treasure found during an adventure often has little bearing on the success of an adventure). As part of the Bargain, information that may affect the adventure is not to be kept secret among the company. Food is generally divided among the company, and the time limit for searching for lost members is usually 13 days. The leader of the company is supreme, and generally all communication goes through him. Also, disobeying his orders is very dishonorable. The leader may also modify the Bargain, mainly dividing of the shares of treasure, as circumstances dictate.
The bargain is binding but can be superseded by the wizard’s oath.
An adventurer can be released from the bargain under extreme conditions (such as when one of the company becomes an Oracle).
